Another great day on the Master Cleanse!
But, like each of the last few days, it did not start that way.
Last night I tried a new laxative tea, called Get Regular. It has a bit different taste than Smooth Move. You can still taste senna, but this tea has enough mint in it, to make it the dominant flavor.
This morning I was woken up by mild cramps around 5:30am, which is later then during the last few nights. After about 45 minutes and three trips to the bathroom, I wanted to get back to sleep, but in spite of my best efforts I was unable to. I was fully awake, although I felt tired.
After catching up on some DVR’ed sitcoms, I had my salt water flush at 8:00am. It took about 30 minutes, but my energy level increased and I was no longer tired. It’s quite amazing how that happens.
This level of energy lasted throughout the day. I was not hungry at all, but I had my 6 cups worth of the spicy lemonade meals at 10:00am, 1:30pm, and 5:30pm. Even though I have gotten up so early, and barely had 200 calories to drink by that time, I needed to burn off extra energy during lunch time. A 25 minute workout took care of that quite nicely
At this point I started yawning, but I’m not ready for bed quite yet.
I haven’t experienced anything unusual today, although I did catch myself thinking about food a few times. No, I no longer have cravings like I did earlier during the cleanse. I was simply trying to decide what I might want after the cleanse is over. The only thing I came up with so far is… carrot juice. For some reason, it seemed like a good idea.
I was also thinking about how I normally eat – a lot and fast. Most of the time it seems I enjoy the aftertaste plus the feeling of fullness more than taste itself. That is not healthy, of course. This is not a surprising thought to me, but thinking of something like this would never occur to me had I not been on the Master Cleanse.
I promise, next time I am having a large vegan cookie, I will take my sweet time to enjoy it
