The Master Cleanse – Day 6

8:04am

Diluted lax tea is a double edged sword.

I was woken up by cramps shortly after 3:00am, but they were mild. There was barely any pain involved. But, they lasted for well over an hour, and by the time I was able to fall back asleep it was almost 5:00am.

Losing nearly 2 hours of sleep in the middle of the night is not much fun, so I am quite groggy this morning. Although I was yesterday too, so things may improve. I hope.

Still I’ll take the longer, but milder, effects of the lax tea that was diluted, and steeped for a shorter period of time, over what happened the previous night. So, all is good.

One thing that I’ve noticed is that when I am woken up by cramps, I am not sleepy or groggy. Something that cannot be said about being woken up by an alarm clock, even after few more hours of sleep. Whoever can come up with a pill or perhaps a piece of nanotechnology, or whatever, that makes you have 5 minutes of mild craps just when you have to get up for work or school, will make billions. :-)

I just had my salt water flush. Time to boot up the work computer and do some work…

7:57pm

Like yesterday, the feeling of tiredness disappeared rather quickly :-)

It was another good day without feeling sleepy, tired or even hungry. Unless of course, my memory is failing, and I do not remember ;-)

I did not have my first two cups of lemonade until 10:45am, and I was fine until 2:15pm. I did not need to drink more, but it seemed like it was a good time to do so. And my final 2 cups were at 6:00pm. I think that will be it for tonight, because I am planning on making my lax tea in a few minutes.

It looks like we’ll be getting some rain and thunderstorms overnight and tomorrow, so I though I’d pick up more lemons today to last me through the weekend. I also picked up another jug of maple syrup. I’ve just opened my second one earlier today, but wanted to get one more just in case I decided to extend the cleanse.

The maple syrup I am using, by the way, is grade B from Coombs Family Farms. A good quality, pure maple syrup is more than just sugar. Actually maybe ever much more.

And finally, I also got a new brand of lax tea. I have been using Smooth Move, but don’t have enough left. They did not have it in stock at the store either. I am thinking I am not the only one doing the cleanse right now, because they were very low on lemons too.

The tea I bought is called Get Regular. It has slightly less than 50% of senna, with the rest being a blend of herbs. The directions specify that it should be steeped 5-10 minutes. This should make this tea much milder than Smooth Move. I think I’ll try 7 minute steep time at first.
