		<description>We have a pomegranate bush in our back yard, and I _love_ them. The way to tell that it&#039;s ripe is when it splits open. Yours may not have been ripe, yet, and I&#039;ve never heard the trick of opening it under water. That may have removed a lot of the flavor, as well. Once it&#039;s split naturally, then I run it under water, just to clean it, and it breaks apart comparitively easily. It breaks into sections, and the seeds pop off into a bowl pretty well. Any seeds that aren&#039;t brightly colored aren&#039;t worth eating, and the staining danger will persist, but the flavor&#039;s quite nice, tart with sweet. If you prefer straight sweet, this will never be your fruit.

		<description>I always find that at this time of year, Pomegranates are pretty disappointing.  Try one again in December or January- the flavor will be much more intense.</description>
